Listening to Matthew Sweet's and Susanna Hoff's album "Under the Covers II", on a quiet Saturday morning. Ash is working on getting her files updated, and I'm avoiding doing the same.
Despite the title, I'm really quite content. Happy, even.

Pure Imagination
Started singing that song, this afternoon, with my son G. My two youngest sons, G. and M., are playing Oompa-Loompas in the local art center production of "Willy Wonka". It felt good, singing. I usually sing whenever I feel down- which can really piss some people off.
Anyway, not to sound too morbid or anything, but "Pure Imagination" is one of those songs I'd like played at my wake. (Not my burial service- I'm still trying to decide if, as an agnostic, I want a Catholic service- but at the kind of fun-filled, life-affirming gatherings that make everyone feel better for having known you in the first place. That, and Dire Strait's "Walk Of Life".)
My oldest boy, C., just mowed his first lawn today, He's had a lifetime of phobias, so the fact that he was able to mow the lawn took some real courage,
Falling asleep... more tomorrow about the scene at the library,

(Just Like) Starting Over...
Okay, so I'm stealing an idea from my sister's blog, where she uses the title of a song from her/our youth as her blog title.
